Data creation

Depending on the available data and the desired end result, we use special software to create point clouds, which are then laser-imprinted into the glass.

Extrusion

Extrusion is a process that transforms two-dimensional logos into true three-dimensional objects . This is especially important for 3D laser engraving, as simple 2D graphics would otherwise appear flat in the glass. Extrusion gives the logo spatial depth and a more vivid, three-dimensional appearance when engraved on glass.

How does extrusion of a logo work?

1. Converting the 2D graphic into a 3D model

  • A flat logo (e.g. as a vector file in AI, EPS or SVG format ) is extruded into a 3D shape .
  • The shape of the logo is drawn into the depth so that it looks like a relief-like object .

2. Adjustment of the deep structure

  • The thickness of the extrusion can be individually adjusted – the stronger the extrusion, the more three-dimensional the logo appears.
  • For a realistic look, additional bevels, roundings or recesses can be added.

3. Optimization for glass engraving

  • A pure 3D model is often not enough – for laser engraving, the logo must be converted into many individual points .
  • The finer the point cloud, the more detailed the engraving will be.

Example applications

  • Company logos in 3D for high-quality promotional gifts or awards
  • Coats of arms and emblems with a three-dimensional effect
  • Symbols and lettering that stand out three-dimensionally from the background

Creation of 360-degree 3D models

Existing 3D data: If you already have 3D models, we can use them. Common formats include STL, OBJ, or 3DS.

2D templates: We can also create 3D models from 2D drawings or images.

Detailed descriptions: If no digital templates exist, sketches or detailed descriptions are often sufficient to create a 3D model.
